Yes we did; we finally succeeded to get an exchange in Australia last December. RCI agents found nothing event though we called them often. My wife worked hard to find something and she did the reservation by herself - the RCI agent had not been useful.

Noosa Club resort at Noosa heads is well located at 10 minutes walking distance from the beach and at 5 minutes from numerous shops, grocery, restaurants, natural park, etc. But before we get to Noosa, it took us around 2 hours of shuttle service to get there from Brisbane airport.

To our surprise, we did not have air conditioning, even if outside it is around 35 Celsius (95F). But happily it was windy and night weather went to 18 C which is comfortable to sleep, and it is windy all day long with nice pacific ocean warm breezes. The washer/dryer in the condo is well appreciated. Outside was a BBQ unit, tennis court, squash court and pool.

I suggested to them to leave more small towels (only 2 for 4 people for 7 days) and the same for toilet paper roll (only 2 for 4 people for 7 days). Internet access is $6.00 AUDollars per hour; only one computer was available.

From the large balcony, we had noise from a bar for one night only, with people screaming until 3:00 a.m. We went by Greyhound to the Eumundi handcrafted market, about 30 minutes from Noosa. It was nice to see but no big deals to do there. This town has the look of an ancient cowboy town.

We had till 10:00 a.m. to checkout, but at 9:30, the superintendant was in the condo beginning to clean even though we were not outside yet; what a mess. If you have the chance to exchange at Noosa Heads, you will enjoy it.

After that, we had reserved from home an escape of 2 days to Fraser Island, the largest sand isle in the world with 70 miles of wonderful sandy beaches. Trees are over 700 years old and there is sand everywhere (it reminds us of our Canadian winters).

We also booked a flight to Lady Elliot island through a tourist info center in Noosa. It was 40 minutes in a private plane to get to this ecocenter with 2 days of snorkeling with giant turtles, one million different fish species, white sharks (not offensive because of their young age) and still with the sun and water at 26C.

On the third week, we went to Mantra Bel Air at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast to see more of these national parks and astonishing beaches.

We had a very nice lock-out with a balcony of 28 feet! The resort was very well located, within walking distance from beach, casino, shopping center, and bus transit station.

We had a great view through dirty windows which had not been cleaned for a long time. The outside patio was stained. . Cost of phone calls from the condo phone is excessive even though we had bought an international calling card. Internet fees were $10/hour. Otherwise, great amenities were outside near the pool. Very polite personnel.
