About Me

About Me

I am recently retired after 32 yrs government service the past 29 with the USPS. Now that I am retired I can more fully enjoy my passions in life of travel, gardening and getting out into nature by hiking to a mountain top, through the woods to a beautiful lake setting or a waterfall. And after reaching that location stopping and just taking in all the beauty that God has created.
As an owner of multiple timeshares my goal is to hit the road as often as possible and enjoy this beautiful country that we have.

What I like most about timeshare…

Having recently recorded a pod cast for the publication timesharing today where I spoke for over 1/2 hr on the benefits of timesharing having been involved in timesharing since 1986 it would be very hard for me to put into print all of my positive feelings.
First of all the many places that one can travel to throughout the world if one plans accordingly and by that I mean far enough in advance. The world is open to you. And yes you can travel anywhere in the world and be stuck in a hotel room with a bath. The timeshare units have so much more to offer with 1-2-3 bedrooms, kitchens, living room , 1-2-3 bathrooms , balconies and comfortable furnishing. Once one stays in a TS it is hard to go back to a motel room.
For those traveling with children TS resorts have much more activities to offer on site than the usual motel-hotel. And for family reunions nothing beats a TS resort for a base for those gathered. In fact on July 12 I will be attending a family reunion at Smuggler's Notch resort in Vt with 38 family members. Last year we did Daytona Beach. Yes you could always do the same with a motel but most motels do not have the same luxury of a TS. With multiple bedroom units we are needing to reserve 6 TS units as compared to maybe 25 motel rooms to house all those attending.
There is so much more that I could say about why I enjoy timesharing but space is limited here.

My favorite timeshare resorts are…

I have traveled to so many over the past 25 years and they have been mostly outstanding it would be easier to state the 3 or 4 that I have hated and would never return to, one of which was our honeymoon TS in Abaco.
A few of my favorites would be the Wyndham Canterbury in SF. It is centrally located close to Chinatown, Union Square, and has trolley stops nearby.
The Wyndham Old Town Alexandria is a favorite of mine when visiting the Washington DC area. The metro station is across the street so once you arrive you park your car and metro to where ever you want to go. In fact I will be returning there for 5 days after the Vermont reunion next week.
The Manhattan Club in NYC is 3 blocks from Central Park, close to Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, the theatre district and 1 block from Carniege Hall.
The Wyndham timeshares in the Williamsburg area are very close to the historical attractions.
The Wyndham Ocean Blvd Mrytle Beach, Wyndham Ocean Walk Daytona Beach, Wyndham Royal Vista Fort Lauderdale, Wyndham Panama City beach, and the Grande Emerald resort Destin are all favorite TS on the beach. Three of which we had family reunions at.
The Wyndham Bonnet Creek which is on Disney property with an excellent view of the Epcot fireworks is our favorite when entertaining guest visiting us in Fl. Another favorite place for us in the Disney area is the Sheraton Vistana resort 5 minutes from Downtown Disney.
Massanutten resort in Va. is also a favorite with the many area activities in the area and at the resort.
As I stated earlier it would be easier stating the timeshares that I hated as these are just a few that I have really enjoyed visiting and would definitely return to.
