New Orleans Overview 

New Orleans, Louisiana is a great place for a timeshare vacation. Also known as the “Big Easy”, New Orleans is a popular destination for many cultural events including Maris Gras, the Tennessee Williams Festival and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. The heart and soul of the city is The French Quarter with a unique collection of artists and fortune-tellers. Jackson Square features three 18th-century architectural marvels: St. Louis Cathedral; the Cabildo, the place where the Louisiana Purchase was signed; and the Presbytère, the home of the Louisiana State Museum. 

When to go to New Orleans 

New Orleans summers are hot and humid with temperatures averaging 93°F. In winter, the humidity tends to be more tolerable. The best time to visit is October through April. 

What airports serve New Orleans?

Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) is New Orleans’s primary airport with commercial airline service. It is 11 miles to the French Quarter and an approximate 20 minute drive. 

What is there to See and Do in New Orleans?

New Orleans has many wonderful museums, art galleries and dining establishments with different varieties of Cajun and Creole cuisine. Museums include the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, National D-Day Museum, Blaine Kerns Mardi Gras World, and Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo. The New Orleans City Park Story Land and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, have been a local pastime since 1906.
