American Resort Development Association (ARDA)

ARDA is the Washington D.C.-based trade association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries (e.g. timeshares). ARDA has almost 1,000 corporate members ranging from privately held firms to publicly traded corporations with extensive experience in shared ownership interests in leisure real estate.
ARDA-Resort Owners’ Coalition (ARDA-ROC)

An alliance of one million-plus timeshare owners, developers and managers who advocate for public policy positions that protect the interests of individual timeshare owners, preserve the integrity of vacation products, and enhance the vacation purchase. Collectively, timeshare owners across the United States voluntarily contribute between $3 and $10 each year. Since 1989, these resources have enabled ARDA-ROC to unite owners in support of legislative and regulatory policies that enable the timeshare industry to continue to provide high quality vacation products that remain accessible and affordable to consumers.
Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC)

A not-for-profit industry body established in 1994 to represent all interests involved in the Australian timeshare industry, and to work toward national industry best practice.
Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA)

An industry-based association dedicated to furthering the vacation ownership industry, both in Canada and throughout the world.
Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers (C.A.R.E.)

A trade association established in 1985 by representatives of timeshare resorts who found that by exchanging vacation inventory among themselves, they were better able to satisfy their owners with increased vacation opportunities.
Global Alliance for Timeshare Excellence (GATE)

Established in 1999 by the leaders of timeshare associations in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, Australia, and South Africa to promote the timeshare industry around the world. Each association retains its own identity, but collectively, the associations seek to cooperate on issues of common concern in order to advance the growth of the timeshare industry worldwide, the interests of their members, and the consumers they serve.
Mexican Resort Development Association (also known as AMDETUR, which stands for Asociación Mexicana de Desarrolladores Turísticos)

The leading vacation ownership industry association in Mexico, which groups 90% of major vacation ownership resort developments through its affiliated local associations, which serve the most important tourism destinations in Mexico, such as Cancún, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Ixtapa, Mazatlán, Manzanillo and Cozumel, among others.
National Timeshare Owners Association (NTOA)

To provide a unified voice on a national platform that improves the communications between the timeshare community and the industry that serves it as well as to protect and preserve the rights of all timeshare owners and their ownership interests.
New Zealand Holiday Owner Council (NZHOC)

Established in 1987, NZHOC is the industry association for the timeshare industry in New Zealand. The organization is an elected body comprising representatives of timeshare resorts, marketing and development companies and exchange companies.
Resort Development Organisation (RDO)

Established in 1998 to improve representation for reputable companies in the timeshare sector and promote fair trading, quality within and growth of the timeshare industry. RDO is a direct membership organization with over 90 members from all sectors of the industry across Europe, including resort developers, exchange companies, management and marketing companies, trustees, finance houses and resale companies.
Timeshare Board Members Association (TBMA)

A non-profit association formed to provide educational resources to its Members, Timeshare HOA Board Members and onsite Resort Managers.
Thai Vacation Ownership Association (TVOA)

Established with an aim to protect consumers and act as the catalyst in the development of local timeshare business to meet the international standard. TVOA promotes public understanding and initiates the generation of the law and regulation to protect the consumers and genuine timeshare business operators.

Previously known as the Timeshare Institute of Southern Africa, VOASA was established in 1990 as an organization representing the interests of the respective stakeholders with its primary objective being to "create, maintain and develop an environment within which the long-term viability and growth of vacation ownership through shared vacation ownership can be optimally ensured."
Virginia Resort Development Association (VRDA)

The purposes of the Virginia Resort Development Association are to promote and encourage high ethical standards and general knowledge and understanding in all areas of the recreational land industry including timeshares, campgrounds, lot sales, and travel clubs.

great place and very well maintained

very good location and all amenuities were in excellent condition all employess were gratefull and offer excellent services. [more]

Staff was friendly, rooms spacious, amenities not included

We have stayed with Wyndham before and ALL amenities were included. At Westgate, we would have had to rent any sports equipment, paddle boats, etc. [more]

people were lovely and accomodating

first unit inside 2 bedroom 3rd floor needed total upgrade broken couch and peeling wallpaper etc. 2nd unit on 2nd floor very spacious needed more upgrading as well. [more]

The staff are always very helpful and like Ika Nui as it is across the road from the lake. You meet great people from all over the world. [more]
